Bob Currier joined the Blue Ridge Ringers as Music Director in August 2005. He is a graduate of
Westminster Choir College in NJ with a degree in Organ Performance & Choral Conducting. He served for 40 years as Minister
of Music in churches in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania and Morris Plains, NJ. He directed the Walsh Memorial Bell Choir
at the Morris Plains Presbyterian Church, a group that toured in the US and abroad and was a featured group at an AGEHR
National Directors’ Seminar. Bob is a former manager of Harold Flammer, Inc. music publisher, has taught at the
college level, and is well known as an organ teacher. Bob is now a freelance music engraver for several music companies.
He composes and arranges music for handbells and has directed massed handbell choirs at AGEHR national events and led
numerous workshops and seminars. In 2005 he was guest conductor at Hendersonville’s local Blue Ridge Area Handbell
Festival. He loves to add bass notes to everything we play!
